POLICY SERVICES

A primary function of NDSBA is to support and improve policymaking by school boards. An annual subscription provides an online monthly newsletter and samples of individual policies.

Policy Services also offers fee-based services, each designed to ensure that the board has a well-organized, up-to-date policy manual.

Options include:

1) sample manual of required policies [available in print or on CD]

2) development of customized policy manual in print or online

3) maintenance of completed manuals

The need for clear and concise policies by school boards has never been greater. Given pressures placed on boards, along with the staggering amount of state and federal regulations, the single most important process a board can undertake is to develop good policy statements.
